Ferdie to Bob

  • Boojferd
Dear Bob, here are some photos of my life here on the campus of Concordia Seminary. I love kids, working with the grounds crew, swimming, playing with my dog friends, and especially my own family people.

I received an offer to join for $45 and get a $45 eGift Card. Must be exercised before Feb 28, 2022. I saved it, and may join, for free I guess. Problem, is I love Costco and every time I go to Sam's I get so upset at their service, especially the food court (Hot Dogs and Pizza). Every once in a while I can find something at Sam's that I can not find anywhere else, so I may join.

The main reason I would get a membership is to be able to get the Mexican Coke in cases. Almost no one else sells it other than in single bottles or 4 packs. 4 packs not really available except at Dierbergs, if they aren't sold out.

Interesting, Mexican Coke. Real sugar, instead of corn sugar. What about the Mexican stores in State Park, near where the old Bakos Hardware store was. I use to belong to Costco to get tires, now I use Costco. Sam's and Wal-Mart are non-union and pay their employees terribly. But I am forced to use Wal-Mart. Too convenient for everything. I have not made my mind up about Sam's membership. I forgot about Kronke. Another Wal-Mart and Sams's issue. I believe his Real Estate Company owns the complex in Glen Carbon.

The State Park grocery stores, which I have gone to a couple of times, only sell single bottles. Dierbergs sells 4 pack cartons of bottles, but can be sold out now and then. Rarely do you see any in Schnucks stores, the Schnucks next to St. Mary's hospital in Clayton is the exception, they have 4 bottle cartons if not sold out.

It may be difficult to speak, in Spanish, to the Mexican store owners, but I bet you can work out a deal to buy a case of the Mexican Soda. Especially the two stores on Collinsville Avenue, almost out of the village of Fairmont City. I met the owner of the large place on the left (South) side but can't remember his name. He was living in a Maryville subdivision, but may have moved. They are all deal makers.
