Ferdie to Bob

  • Boojferd
Dear Bob, here are some photos of my life here on the campus of Concordia Seminary. I love kids, working with the grounds crew, swimming, playing with my dog friends, and especially my own family people.

Ask the Bank management. The banks sold out to competitors. Home Federal reorganized from a Savings and Loan, to a Savings Bank, and then merged into the Waterloo Bank. Privately owned Bank of Edw. sold out to a larger Champaign, IL Bank. US Bank closed many branches. The goal is on-line banking apparently. I was about to close my US Bank account after they closed my closest branch, but they kept one open at Schuck's. I mainly use a Brokerage Firm and the ATM's that charge no fees with them.

It's hard to keep up with banking these days. Are all the changes good or bad? And good or bad for who?

Bank of Edwardsville sale was probably great for the stockholding family, probably the Cassens Family and their heirs. Home Federal S & L is another story that is just rumors. End result, I think all depositors were protected. So good for owners, when closely held by a family, and CD's and Savings protected for investors.
