Ferdie to Bob

  • Boojferd
Dear Bob, here are some photos of my life here on the campus of Concordia Seminary. I love kids, working with the grounds crew, swimming, playing with my dog friends, and especially my own family people.

A former employee of Imbers embezzled money from the Jaycees and Miner's Theatre Foundation, 100K plus. Served time at the Marion Federal Prison Camp, and is passed away. I worked at many Thursday night bingos to build up the money for the benefit of the Community, and it vanished. Your Imbers hanger reminds me of the tragedy.

Wow Frank, I don't remember this. How awful

Jaycees and Miner's Theatre Foundation lost a lot. The individual was running the Gaslight Swimming pool which was given to the Miner's Foundation, and the Jaycees were not watching their checking account, no accounting precautions, and the money vanished. At least the individual went to prison. I don't know of any money recovered. Jaycees were never the same. Sold their building on Keebler, no large fundraisers since that I know of.

My memory was jogged and I do remember this now. Quite the shock at the time.
