I've been sort of frustrated by the lack of reporting on the US Olympic Volley-Ball team. It's been difficult to find results much less any stories on this team, it takes a lot of searching. I am most disappointed in the local news outlets which must not realize there is a local woman playing on this team, Michelle Bartsch-Hackley.
Last night I was looking for score updates and didn't find any, but thanks to Frank posting on Facebook I learned they had won their match against Italy and are now in the quarterfinals. I checked his Facebook page when I woke up in the middle of the night and there was the result. Channel 5 in St. Louis had a paragraph this morning but I the other channels had nothing. It's frustrating. We could have watched it but still haven't figured out how to do the streaming from apps.
Plenty of stories on the women's soccer team's loss.
(:05pm last night on nbcolympics.com I am sure it will be replayed on tv Cable "nbc sports network" today, but I don't know when. I will see if I can find it.
Went to 5 sets last night USA 3 sets, Italy 2 sets. 1st Italy 25 - USA 21,
2nd set Italy 16-USA 25, 3rd set Italy 27 USA 25, 4th set Italy 17 USA 25,
Last tie breaker to 15 Italy 12 USA 15. They probably don't cover Michelle much because she has played professionally overseas since 2012.
Currently playing in Istanbul Turkey for the Vakifbank Team, the Best Professional Volleyball Team in the World. Check it out on Wikipedia.

I can't say that I am sorry that the women's soccer team lost -- they are such poor models for young girls.

Barb, I have to confess I've paid little attention to the soccer and don't feel I've missed much.
