Ferdie to Bob

  • Boojferd
Dear Bob, here are some photos of my life here on the campus of Concordia Seminary. I love kids, working with the grounds crew, swimming, playing with my dog friends, and especially my own family people.

Your discussion about Potatoes reminds me of my dad's problem. When I went to SIU-C, my parents lived in Chester, bought a house with a walkout in the back, an unfinished cellar. My dad took a wheelbarrow and dug it out in the evening, poured the dirt on a garden area in the yard, downhill from the house. Planted potatoes, they got 6 foot tall, but no potatoes. The soil lacked a nutrient from being under the house for 30 to 40 years. No potatoes were harvested. I don't remember the 2nd year.

Oh boy, Frank, now I'm really worried. These weren't put in cellar dirt, however.
