Ferdie to Bob

  • Boojferd
Dear Bob, here are some photos of my life here on the campus of Concordia Seminary. I love kids, working with the grounds crew, swimming, playing with my dog friends, and especially my own family people.

Looks good. Good luck with the leaves. I am mulching with a lawnmower for the third time. Will do again on Thursday or Friday. It would be nice if the city bought a vacuum like the Township has, but I think too many houses.

I gave some thought to the city having at least a street vacuum yesterday, Frank. Some cities let property owners move leaves to the curb and they come by and suck them up. But, I suppose there must be a place for the city to dump them as well as time and cost involved.

Only in the Township. Larry Trucano instituted that service as a benefit of living in the Township. We pay Township taxes, but service is not available to us. Maybe the residents in the Township pay more. I don't know.

As I recall Clayton had an area set aside for composting. All leaves and soil and such were off loaded there. The street department has a regular schedule for vacuuming leaves. Each neighborhood has a day during fall to get their leaves onto the curb and get their cars out of the way for that day.

    I wish we had that.
