Teeter tottering after the patio cookout which followed afternoon beach time.

Who'd believe there are places with almost no Internet connection

Well there are and we are in one of those places in Michigan. Michigan! I'd sooner believed maybe Idaho or some such not Michigan. Wireless is not available here and cell towers are few and far between. Some people think this is a positive but I am not among them.

No tv either. The modern busy world stays hidden up here in Arcadia.

More break ins

Just read that St Louis area hotels and other places had many car break-ins and windows smashed over the weekend. These were in mostly very public places and you'd think there would finally come a time when these criminals would be caught in the act and arrested. It's not like it doesn't happen all the time in St Louis.

Where's the sun?

We've been hearing that the weather in St Louis has been gorgeous the past couple of days. Meanwhile up where we are in Michigan it's been like this and not much sun in sight for a few days.

Michigan fry cakes

On the way up to Arcadia Michigan yesterday we stopped, as always, in South Haven to have lunch and check out the farmers market and the bakery. A bakery worthy of the name. Sort of like Kruta's, but different.

I asked for a couple of chocolate cake donuts and learned they are called 'fry cakes'. Fry cakes! Descriptive.
