Pulled out a dinner recipe I haven't made in years, Coq au Vin, which is chicken in wine. While it sounds simple enough, there is quite a bit of prep work to do to pull it all together and then slow cook it for a long time. Perfect for a rainy-ish Sunday. Serve over mashed potatoes and add crusty French bread. Oddly we even have healthy looking parsely growing in garden so that will make a nice rough chopped green topping.
Every recipe uses the pearl onions, frozen or fresh, just an FYI. And most recipes like the Coq au Vin put over noodles which I'd ordinarily like, but we've had enough pasta recently and mashed potatoes sound so good.
