1. It will be illegal to put electronics in the normal trash. The trash hauler will red flag you if you try to put it in your trash and being caught calls for a first time $25 fine. All of these will now be required to be recycled and recycled for free, a responsibility being given to the manufacturers.

we live in a small town so what are suppose to do with them when we have no recycling centers here

There are lots of recycling companies these days. Regardless of where you bought it, what brand it is, or how old it is they take all electronic. I hope they take all measures to properly and safely recycle it. Law enforcement measures will be of good, indeed.
