Lots of reminders and warnings on Facebook lately about cell phone numbers going public this month and that numbers will be released to telemarketers.

Is this true?  Or another internet myth?  If true, is there a No Call list?

Fire pit

The fire pit which Dale got me for my birthday arrived this morning.  The temperature may reach 90 today, but I have a feeling we'll be having a fire.

Cracker coming to Alton

Boy am I out of touch.  This morning I saw this headline in the P-D's front page list of news links:  Cracker Coming to Alton Amphitheater and the first thing I thought of was an exhibit of a huge saltine.

Ha.  Turns out there's a singing group named Cracker.

Some look benign, others look ridiculous but they're all filled with fat and calories.   Here's Denny's Fried Cheese Melt with Wavy Fries.

The worst airports in the world

Yes.  St. Louis' Lambert is on the list, coming in third, actually, according to travelers responding to a Travel and Leisure magazine request.

1.  New York--All 3 lumped together

2.  Los Angeles

3.  St. Louis

4.  Washington DC

5.  Boston.

St. Louis is in good company, but it's no surprise to anyone who has to go through Lambert that it isn't the most travel friendly airport in the world.

They're back. Typhoid to Leprosy

A most alarming post about the re-emergence of diseases we thought we gone for good.  Heirloom diseases, a pretty name for things like typhoid, leprosy, Scarlet Fever, TB.

While we are seeing these illnesses, I'm not sure I accept the conclusion as to why-open borders.
