Chelsea's getting married today and the small New York town of Rhinebeck is awash in sightseers, celebrity watchers, politicians and most of all, way too many satellite news vans.
Two women were walking around passing out pizza with the words, "I do" written in pepperoni.
Inconvenienced neighbors living near the site of the wedding were pacified with a bottle of wine.
Oddly, as many news trucks as there are, the stories coming out of Rhinebeck are all the same. It's like the news media is there in force, but using a pool reporter for their stories.
The New York Times, however, gets a bit gossipy. That's what we want. Really. Seems many of the guests streaming in are friends of Chelsea and Marc, people in their 20's and 30's. The Times wrote:
"Perhaps they will be celebrities some day, but for now they can rest comfortably in their anonymity. They seemed to be a mixture of Arkansas and the hedge-fund world."
Hilarious. How on earth do you take that kind of description?
Maybe they are playing "Hillbilly Boney" by Trace Atkins.
