Ferdie to Bob

  • Boojferd
Dear Bob, here are some photos of my life here on the campus of Concordia Seminary. I love kids, working with the grounds crew, swimming, playing with my dog friends, and especially my own family people.

    Camera Obscura

Did you ever notice that in the online edition of the B N-D, at the bottom of Dianne's column, it says:

"Send your etiquette questions to Charles Giedeman, Lifestyle, P.O. Box 427, 120 S. Illinois, Belleville, IL 62222-0427."

Since she gives etiquette tea-parties for 5 - 11-year-olds, one assumes there really is a Dianne and she really is female. But holy cow, not only does she not have email, but you can't even snail-mail your questions directly to her? Some man has to vet them before she reads them? Etiquette questions?

    Diane

That's it exactly. We've never understood how a columnist in a daily paper would refuse to have email. Everyone else, reporters, columnists, editorial writers etc all have a 'bnd.com email.

She doesn't have to use her own personal email for pete's sake.

    Camera Obscura

I repeat: You can't even U.S. Mail something directly to her at the newspaper.

    Diane

I think that Charles Giedeman may be part of the paper, maybe the Lifestye editor. Or, Charles Giedeman may be Dianne's Husband?? Who knows.

    Dan Giedeman

Somebody sent this link to me because they found it amusing.

I am Charles Giedeman's son and I can assure you that he knows nothing about either etiquette or tea parties. ;-)

(But he does know something about plants and actually writes the Gardening column for the BND. I'm assuming that the newspaper just messed up the contact information somehow.)
