Reading the February issue of Washingtonian magazine which spotlights "bargains" in D.C. I came across a web site, Woot.com, which is kind of fun. Each week day one item goes up for sale and when you go to this site there will be a photo and a price. All items are closeouts and the prices reflect that. The day's sale begins at midnight central time and ends when either the product is sold out or at 11:59 p.m. central time. At the moment what is displayed for sale is the Ultimate Super Bowl party kit which features a small tv, karaoke set up, a couple of music discs and for some reason a cheese grater and a portable hand mixer...all for $49.95. This site could be dangerous and quite possibly addictive.
