For the last year or two, spider dogs have been a hit around here with the grandsons. Cut the hotdogs in chunks, stick uncooked spaghetti into each piece as many as you want or are able to do, then boil. The end result is a cool looking spider dog.
Add a pool of catsup on a plate and you're all set.
Now another way of making hotdogs fun: Spiral dogs. Slip a skewer longways into a hot dog and make some diagonal cuts, then take out the skewer.
Put on a bun or let the kids pretend they're slinkys for a bit before eating. Boing Boing
