The first sentence in a story from Missourinet: "This year’s effort to force voters to show a photo-ID at the polling place has been blunted in the state Senate."
The use of the words, "to force" is interesting in this story. Shows a bit of opinion by the reporter I'd venture. But aside from that one thing puzzles me about Missouri voting and the ID law or no ID law. From the first election we took part in in this state we've always had to show ID so I really don't know what this continual rehashing of voter ID laws is all about. To be honest I was actually surprised I was asked for an ID back in 06, my first time in our precinct. In Illinois we were never asked.
