Dale and I went to Christ Community Lutheran School for grandparents day today. We visited Connor and Christian's classrooms where we had some activity time with each boy. At the end of the classroom visits chapel was held and Dale was the preacher for the day.
Connor's kindergarten class sang several songs for us.
Then we broke up into areas and either did a craft with our grandchild or played a game. We played Candy Land because Connor chose that.
On to the second grade where Christian was waiting.
Our task in that room was to do a math paper. I was pretty bad at it and it did not help that Dale kept telling Chrisitian how little I knew about math. Finally Christian took the pencil and showed me how to find the answers.
One to chapel where the kids were allowed to sit anywhere they wanted today along with their grandparents. Our two were so excited to get to go up in the balcony.
Songs were sung
While Dale was preaching, Christian slid down to the floor in the balcony so he wouldn't be seen. We thought later he was afraid Dale would call on him. He listened attentively but never stood up til the talk was over. This is not like Christian at all.
Meanwhile, Connor stood and watched and listened the entire time. Which is not like Connor at all. The mystery of small boys.
