Suddenly it looks like we're heading into spring. We can't believe how many robins are covering the grassy areas. And the perennial Snowdrop flowers have popped into bloom without warning, hugging the ground but seeming pleased nonetheless. Daffodil stems up at least 3 inches.
Then there was that violent storm yesterday, torrential rain around 3 that lasted only a few minutes but left behind winds I haven't experienced in a long time. Power outages all over St. Louis and the Metro East, power lines down on roads, trees down, and many many full trash cans tossed out onto roadways. I happened to be driving down 44 on the way to pick up the boys in Kirkwood at the time of the wind and listening to KMOX I heard of at least 15 tracter trailers blown over onto their sides and, junk in the traffic lanes. I say again, the trucks are just too big.
Hopefully that wind came along to blow winter outtahere.
