A bunch of campus people and kids headed out to the soccer field late yesterday afternoon to try and break the world record for the largest snowball. It proved to be impossible because after it reached a certain size, it became immoveable even with the addition of a large 2x4 used as a lever. But everyone had a great time anyway.
Initially there was some sort of competition between the kids and the big guys (students).
An idea occurred to someone that if the two snowballs could be attached to one another, Voila! a big snowball. At first they considered lifting the second onto the first, but quickly gave that up because of the weight.
Some of the boys buried another boy who seemed quite cheerful about it.
It was exhausting to some.
But others just kept on.
