Yesterday morning as I drove down Collinsville's Main Street I was amazed by all the big earth moving equipment being used to move all the snow. All the snow from the past weekend had been pushed to the curbs and sidewalks in order to get the street open, but the mountains of snow kept people from being able to get into the stores and restaurants. So the city public works guys went to work in a big way to haul off all that snow. I took a picture as I was stopped to let backhoes (I think that's what they were).
And then I watched a Fox2 News report on the same Collinsville story. And, as interesting as it was, I was really pleased at how good Main Street looks these days. Many people realize this, but it was great to see it confirmed in a news report, snow and all.
And hey! Oh hi Bill and Leslie Jourdain who are seen eating in the Sandwich Shop during the news report!
