Steve Patterson, Urban Review writer in St. Louis, went to the 2014 Auto Show and wrote up a review of the pick up trucks he saw on display. He compared the full sized trucks with the mid sized as well trucks from 1971, pointing out the differences.
Since we now own a truck and love it, really love it, I found this post interesting. What he mentioned about common pick up truck features is true and describes our Ford Sport Trac.
"These trucks, like most cars, are better equipped than even luxury cars of just 10-15 years ago. Sunroofs, heated leather seats, back up cameras, etc.
Remember back when cars had one cigarette lighter you’d take out to plug in a charger? We noticed many cars had multiple USB ports, including many in the rear as well. These days everyone seems to have a smartphone which means a family of four needs four USB ports to charge up on the road. Those in back can watch something on the entertainment system while their phone charges."
That's us. It never gets old to slide into our truck, plus it's not only cool, it's handy and cost a ton less than any car with the same features.
