The founder of St. Louis' LouFest plans to increase security in the future to try to keep all the car break-ins from happening again. It's easy to criticize from here, but these crimes happen all the time during big events in Forest Park. A friend of ours firmly believes in keeping her car unlocked with nothing in it to save windows being broken or locks ruined. Desperate times.
I don't know what the answer is only that there must be something to slow this down. Coming up in two weeks is the Great Forest Park Balloon Race which brings in many thousands more people. Will there be some sort of plan in place to keep cars from being vandalized?
