Chicagoans love their Chicago dogs. Transplanted Chicagoans living elsewhere miss them. But this is kind of nutty.
"The Illinois Department of Corrections declared a “hot dog seasoning emergency” when the department ran out of seasoning at the Menard Correctional Center meat shop." And what did they do? They put out an emergency no bid $15,000 contract so they could replenish their hot dog seasoning supply and avert the food crisis in the prison.
As I said, Chicagoans love their Chicago dogs, even prisoners won't settle for less.
