Now here's a study for the record books filed under the heading of "way too little too do." From the Bloomberg School of Public Health out of Johns Hopkins...
About one-third of all injury-related emergency room visits involve alcohol consumption, but what, exactly, are people drinking?
And the survey said! "Budweiser was the number one brand consumed, followed by Steel Reserve Malt Liquor, Colt 45 malt liquor, Bud Ice, Bud Light and a discount-priced vodka called Barton's."
And this was done in Baltimore, imagine how high the percentage of Bud related ER needed injuries would be if the study had been done in St. Louis. But really, what is the purpose of knowing what brand of beer brought people to the emergency room? Maybe too much government grant money that had to be used or lost? :)
