As I said yesterday I somehow misplaced my camera after spending Wednesday evening with the Collinsville Progress board painting the beer stands and token booths ahead of the Italian Fest. I looked everywhere, turned over every leaf (so to speak) and never found it. Then late yesterday afternoon I took out our box of Cheez-It Double Cheese Snack Mix and there was the camera inside! I had taken the mix with me to Collinsville and must have accidently dropped the camera into it when put Ferdie in the car. We had a good laugh about that, but so glad the camera is back.
I've said this before but it's worth repeating, cameras turn out a better photo than phones do. If you want some of your pictures to keep for history's sake, please use a camera. If all you use is a phone, some day you're going to wish you had better pictures. And, the pocket cameras are so good now, easy to use and many come with a wireless feature which lets you send to facebook or email if that's what you want to do. It's just as immediate as a phone and gives you a better picture. And, there are also pocket cameras that allow you to just place it on an iPhone or iPad and it will download to those items. Amazing.
In any event, here's a couple more beer stand painting photos.
