Does anyone else think there has been more rollover accidents on local highways this summer? Seems like every report includes a vehicle which flipped or rolled before coming to a stop. I saw one of these yesterday as I was driving from Collinsville to St. Louis. A large SUV was on its roof, nose pointing diagonally into the median guardrail in the east bound lanes of 55/70. Emergency people were crouched down talking to someone stuck inside.
Are cars being built too high or too light to withstand a sudden turn of the wheel and thus tip and roll more easily? I don't know but there sure has been a lot of these lately.
