Do you fry, bake or microwave your bacon? All of these methods work, but now the chefs at America's Test Kitchen have come up with another way and it is pan frying with the addition of water. It takes longer but supposedly does a better job of rendering out the fat, concluding with crispy but not burned bacon. It also cuts down on the smoke and bacon smell which often lingers longer than your longing for bacon.
