Connor's preschool had its Grandparents Day program today with lunch. All the kids drew a picture and answered questions about their grandparents. These were hung on the wall outside their room. Here's Connor's

The kids put on a soup opera in which 3 customers are seated at a table, had their order taken by waiters. They wanted French onion soup.
The waiters took away the menus and brought each a big bowl of soup. But...the customers told the waiter they could not eat the soup. Which brought out the chefs.
The chefs were told "we cannot eat this soup" No one understood why and so a couple of local mayors arrived to get to the bottom of it. Connor was one of the mayors.
The mayors all carried large pencils in order to take down the evidence.
Finally someone thought to ask "why can't you eat your soup?" And the answer was: "Because we have no spoons!" Bwahahahahhahahaa.
Then the kids stood together for a song
The skit ended with a prayer given by Connor which began like this:
But eventually settled into this:
Then we all trooped down to the lunchroom and ate with our grandchild
Each table had a paper tablecloth colored by the class. Connor had what the others at the table at first called "a smorgasboard" and then later the more modern term...buffet. We are grandparents afterall, using the old term we grew up with for a large spread of food.
Now to visit Connor's classroom
Boom! right in the door and off to playing with whatever that stuff was, kind of gooey tiny dots all rolled into globs.
The boys then headed over to the Legos where they pretty much stayed.
