A new business war has broken out between the makers of twist ties and the makers of the square plastic clip fastener so often found on bread bags and other plastic bag containers.
So which do you prefer and do you plunk used twist ties into a drawer for use with other things? I do not save them because they are just too small for any practical use and I am very grateful that trash bags are now made without a need for them.
And then there is the more and more common use of those locking plastic strips. They're found on so many packaged items these days, especially kids toys and tools. You need a scissors or even a garden snip to remove them. Not only does the product in question come locked into the packaging, the packaging itself is sealed inside a hard clam shell.
