Begins today and continues through tomorrow. This is a once a year event in Clayton held in Shaw park and is the best opportunity residents and businesses have to weed out things they have lying around not being used. The company contracted to take the items will not toss things in a dumpster or landfill, but fix and reuse or break down for parts.
The list of things accepted is long and is not limited to computers or tvs, but includes lawn equipment, medical equipment, batteries, old clothes, air conditions, stoves, refrigerators, cd's dvd's and even toys.
I've been going through closets and removed big old supposedly portable tvs and old computer speakers, keyboards and the like. Have the back of the truck filled and ready to go to Shaw Park.
Today 7:30 until 5, Saturday 10 until 4.
