When a big snow storm is coming at New York, the news will cover it as though no other part of the country has ever seen snow.

Kale is overrated.

Getting to the Soulard Mardi Gras and finding a place to park will be even harder this year thanks to MoDOT shutting down parts of I-64/40 downtown.

There are seemingly updates to computers every single day. Not to mention updates to phone programs and operating systems.

Maple trees are budding in a major way already. Spring's coming early.

A huge draw at the St. Louis Boat Show this weekend will be the Swamp People. I just learned the Swamp People have their own cable tv show which involves hunting alligators. Will these guys be shooting alligators in a barrel at the Jones Dome?

What is the appeal of Storage Wars?

Presbyterian Manors of Mid America owns 18 senior living facilities in several states and their tax forms show revenues of 98 million dollars last year. I guess that's as good a nudge as any as to where to invest your money.

Good advice.

Don’t even try to park near Soulard. The entire neighborhood is closed to traffic. A better (and safer) bet is to ride MetroLink downtown and take the Metro Mardi Gras shuttle to Soulard for $5. Shuttle service runs every 15 minutes between 14th and Spruce streets and 10th and Marion streets in Soulard. Laclede’s Landing also is offering a free shuttle service from Laclede’s Landing Boulevard and North Second Street to Lafayette Avenue and South Third Street in Soulard.
