Or the worst or the best depending on your point of view.
Spotlight on the Media writer David Zurawik writes that with MSNBC's new hiring of David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs that cable news outlet is now "worse" than Fox. Now he did preface this remark with "MSNBC has long been as bad as Fox News when it comes to ideological bias". But hen added:
"The cable channel that flies under the banner of NBC News is now all but a bona fide organ of state propaganda, an information channel that speaks in the same dominant voice as the folks running the government–and tries to mask what it is up to."
IMO, MSNBC has long been far worse, but I do have a bias. Zurawik continues:
"What is this if not exactly the spin Team Obama seemed to be working on all week? And the White House doesn’t even have to bring in a bunch of out-of-town anchormen for quickie interviews with Obama so that they can carry his message back to their local audiences in the heartland.
Now the message can go forth from the president’s mouth straight to our ears–via Axelrod, the so-called analyst, and MSNBC, the so-called news channel."

Maybe, MSNBC should change its lead in to "Not Fair and Definitely Biased." just like our parent NBC.

We watch Morning Joe and Scarborough is getting more and more shrill, holding forth against reps. He must feel he has to do it to hold on to his job.

So FOX has competition? Why is this any different than when Fox was the mouthpiece for the Bush years and MSNBC the loyal opposition? Shoes are just on the other foot now. You guys are just so funny.

Fox has always had competition.Just about every other news? outlet or network. That is a one of your usual stupid remarks.I'm getting personal since it seems to work for the liberals.By the way,I never watch or listen to Fox news.

Yes, Fox has always had competition. It's just that it seems to surprise so many that there are valid opinions other than Fox and those that agree with it. And much of the opinions offered by Fox and company is, for the time being, a minority opinion. NBCNews doesn't challenge Obama on issues?? When did Fox ever question Bush? But, as I said earlier, now the shoe is on the other foot and y'all don't like it. I think it's funny. And, for the record, I don't watch or listen to NBCNews (tho I have been known to watch Lock Up.)
