Most of the sports experts have been quietly hinting that they do not give Notre Dame much of a chance to win this game. Alabama is too strong, too fast, too everything while Notre Dame may have a good defense but they don't have a quarterback who can throw down the field.
The MAtH is a long time Notre Dame fan which is odd for a Lutheran, no? But his grandfather had season tickets and so there is a family history there. For me, even though Missouri is now in the SEC, I find it hard to pull for Alabama, never liked them.
The game is supposed to begin at 7:30 CST but probably wont actually start til 8. Which means those fans in the eastern time zone will once again have to stay up late or not get to watch much of the second half. It has to be frustrating to have the most important games of the year in any sport begin at 9 at night.
Season tickets since, I believe, the year after the MaTH was born. But it's still odd. Don't like Saban, but.......Roll Tide.

For me and many here it's more about who to root against than for. A lot of Notre Dame haters around, but I'm with you Diane. Never did like Alabama much.
