A full early start to the weekend around here. We began the day with the meetings of the Board of Regents and ended with the seminary basketball team playing the The Greatest Rivalry in the LCMS game against their brothers from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne.
Before the game we went to dinner with the Regents at LoRusso's
Then headed back for the game. The fieldhouse was packed.
While the game was going on...
What a gorgeous basketball floor this is.
Fans watched from the bleachers and upstairs along the railings.
The first half of the game was pretty nervewracking because Fort Wayne kept holding on to the lead and St. Louis has a long long winning streak going against them and no one in the gym wanted to see that end.
The nice thing about the field house during games is that kids can play while the adults watch the action.
And the seminary mascot came, dressed in his new school shirt. He first greeted Lizzie
Then school store manager, Erika Bennett
Had his picture taken by last night's official photographer, Linda Ekong
The game wound down to its final couple of minutes and it was now obvious St Louis was going to win this game.
At the conclusion the two teams formed a circle at center court and had a concluding prayer. The best way to end a great game and even better night.
