After all the hub bub and busyness of these past weeks since Thanksgiving, I'm ready to put some order in our lives. There's been so much cooking and baking that the kitchen must be the first to fall in line and the utensil drawers, dish cabinets, and pots and pans shelves will be first.
I realized something had to be done because recently Dale has done something he rarely does-empty the dishwasher. Now I have been grateful for his help, but when he emptys the dishwasher he put things away in places where they'll never be found. Take last evening for instance. We had Lizzie, Darren and the boys here for dinner and when I went to put out the plates I couldn't find them and after searching everywhere in the kitchen I finally asked Dale where he put them when he emptied the dishwasher. He got up and said, "follow me". Not a good sign. Turns out he put them on the highest shelf in the most obscure cabinet in the kitchen and slid them so far back they couldn't be seen.
The plates were only the beginning. Items in the silverware basket were put in various drawers in random fashion making working on the next meal an adventure.
What is it with men and understanding kitchens? So today I empty the drawers, look things over, purge if necessary and bring some order to the kitchen. I bet I'll find some things I haven't seen in a long time, it'll be like Christmas all over again.

That's interesting Norman, and it does seem fair that if women can't be at the meetings why should they have to do the clean up.
