Pantone has decided that the color for 2012 will be emerald. Which is green. "Lively, radiant, lush...a color of elegance and beauty which enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."
Wow. Who knew. You'll see emerald on new iphone cases, clothing, accent pillows, and teakettles. And toasters. Green is one of those colors which has made its way in and out of our home decorating plans for generations, seen on old plaster walls and, in the 70's, 80's and even now, in carpeting. Who of us of a certain age hasn't lived in an apartment that had green rugs?
The winner of this year's Master's will be right in style with his green jacket.
Dust off all the green depression glass you collected back in the 90's after seeing Martha Stewart's collection and use it. This is the year.

Oh thanks for reminding me to use my green Cameo depression glass, that yes I collected in the 1990's!

Ann, we packed up the green depression glass our daughter collected in the 90's and sent it off to her. :)
