A look back. Way way back.
Walking and talking and using his hands. He'll be a preacher for sure.
Aw, I bet he wasn't as angelic as this looks.
Cowboy days. Yes cowboys were a fad back then. Not such an angelic look.
Yep, a future preacher. Or talk show host
Why was he blonde here? It makes no sense.
He's a student at the seminary. Got the shirt. And speaking of the seminary back then...
Look at the power coming from that fountain! Wowser. And...
There's the Log Cabin in it's original spot where the Chapel is now or at least on the same property. And what is that wishing well structure next to it? And...
This looks so different I am not sure if it is Pritzloff or Wyneken but I'd bet underneath today's asphalt there's a pretty good concrete roadbed....And...
Dale's dorm room.
Shocking! There's that inflatable cow! I don't believe it. Neat as a pin then! The room is vintage, a manual typewriter!
Speaking of that cow, it was everywhere and is to this day.
With his roommate, Walt Ullman
And looking out the window of Metzger onto the soccer field.
On to ordination
And then what he'd most likely consider the happiest day of his life...
Or the luckiest day of his life. Mine too.
Happy Birthday Dale

Happy Birthday Dale. Cowboy shirt made me smile, must have been a fad at that time, I also have a school picture taken in one. Great post Diane.

Great post, Diane.
The 'blonde' hair-Dad's color, when his hair was 'longer vs the crew cut' would be lighter color and in the summer get a little more of the blonde tints. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BROTHER!
