KMOV asked on its Facebook page: "January 5th ... how long are we going to leave the Christmas lights up ... is your tree down? Are the Christmas lights off? There seems to be some folks trying to extend the holiday season a few more days. Are the holidays officially over?"
The great thing about the responses was how many people mentioned that the real Christmas season did not end until Epiphany which is today. The Christian Christmas extends from Christmas Day until January 6th, Epiphany, the day tradition has it that the Wise Men arrived in Bethlehem. Thus the 12 days of Christmas.
So good that all these St. Louis viewers know their Church traditions. KMOV's question seem to infer that if you still had your lights and tree up, you were somehow trying to keep something going which should have ended by New Year's at the latest.

Another attack by the secular progressives. Interesting how many in the mainstream media do not refer to Kawanza or Yom Kippur as the "holiday".
