Go look for kids clothes and unless you are shopping for girls you'll be shocked at what you find. Every childrens store and every store that sells childrens clothes are stocking 3/4's of the store with clothes for girls. Boys have a small corner. Why is this, don't boys need clothes too? Clothes for school, clothes for play and clothes for church and clothes for Christmas?
Who decided that boys should be wearing rugby and polo shirts and jeans and cargo pants for every occasion?

Kathy? So I only shop once a year? That can't be right.

They sure are trying to sexualize our little girls. They even have padded bras for them.
I have both grandsons and granddaughters and see what you are talking about. I have to admit though that it's much better than when my kids were small.

It is the good question. I think it has become a trend. Ever time I go shopping with my wife and kid. I see most clothing shops selling clothing only for women or girls. It is around 4:1(femal:male)
I think this comes down to the human nature:) Female prefers more showing off their beauty by the dressing. Maybe that where the market demand comes from :)
