54 live trees, 50 percent more than last year. But, 90,000 people tour the White House at this time of year. So do the math, how many trees were in the White House last year? 50 percent more is different than twice as many. Am I right? I'm no math person.




Yes, not the same thing. 54 would be 50% more than 36.

Yes, 36 last years. 54 divided by 1.5 = 36.
Add 18 more. 9 for each child in the WH.

Yes, twice as many would be 100% more, that is, double. It's confusing. I am no mathematician either.
