The other night I made...from scratch...a chipolte tomato soup. Oh my gosh it was good and even better, it helped knock back some of the cold symptoms I've been dealing with. But unfortunately after the puree-ing process, my old blender fell apart and now it's in the dumpster. So after doing some online checking of blender reviews I realize things are not as simple as they used to be.
Take this best selling blender according to QVC for example. I mean, come on, it has a million attachments and could take the place of 5 small appliances. That's ok except you have to have a place to store all those things. And if you believe the post below this one, people find even fixing a bowl of cereal too much trouble so who's buying all these products which do about everything?
I guess I'll wait.

My wife just bought a "Ninja" system and it is scary. I am afraid to touch it. It is sitting on our kitchen counter and must have some kind of vacuum locking system because I can not budge it. I'm waiting for instructions, but am not touching the beast. Very intimidating.

Glad to hear this Paul, we shouldn't have to be frightened when it comes to food prep. Going with something more simple.

Do you have or have you thought of a stick blender? You can blend your soup right in the pot and it works for sauces, smoothies, purees, pesto and more. I love mine!

Stacye, I have a stick blender but thought it might not work for the first part of the process which was to blend chipolte peppers with some adobe sauce and a garlic clove.
