Update to this post on Monday morning: Last Friday the Obama administration posted 165 new regulations on it's website regulations.gov.website. In the past 90 days it has posted 6125 new regulations, an average of 68 a day!

So much talk about how many federal departments are now being headed up by folks who've been appointed and/or hired and who love to create regulations for every industry. It gives them something to do. So many new regulations that it has become not only hard to live with but also hard to run a business, farm, school district etc because of them. We're close to being strangled by regulations enacted by people who were never elected, and have to answer to no one.
How about this food for thought from Winston Churchill: "If you make ten thousand regulations, you destroy all respect for the law."
Speaking of food, boy is the food industry regulated.
Limited government is the best government for sound economic growth. It starts at the local level. Remember the goofy Collinsville ordinance on saggy pants the police refused to enforce. Well, that oridance is still on the books.
