We were lucky to taste these cookies last week while out at Katie and Charlie's last week. I don't remember where she said she first came across this recipe but I am here to tell you that they were gobbled up faster than I've ever seen cookies eaten.
The main difference between these chcolate chip cookies and the traditional home made ones must be the addition of browned butter plus one egg and one egg yoke. Even Dale who normally won't voluntarily ever eat a cookie was tossing these back as if they were potato chips.

Please tell me they don't have nuts in them. No better way to ruin a good chocolate chip cookie than to put nuts in it. Take the nuts out of the recipe and substitute more chocolate chips. I have nothing against nuts, I just don't think they belong in chocolate chip cookies.

Katie did not put nuts in them, that's an optional part of the recipe, but I would not do it.

Did you see that each cookie contains nearly a tablespoon of butter? With the eggs, that's over 10 grams of fat -per cookie. No wonder they taste so good!

Stacye! I guess it's good we don't eat cookies all that often. But they are really really good
