What in the world is Gangnam Style? I see this term everywhere. Everywhere from people tweeting something they're doing, "I'm going Gangnam Style" to Thanksgiving dinner-Gangnam Style, to outside Christmas lighting-Gangnam Style. I had no idea what this popular meme meant nor did I have much desire to look it up. But this story on a Round Rock Texas man's outside Christmas display pushed me over the edge. I finally googled "Gangnam Style".
It means, " a Korean neologism mainly associated with upscale fashion and lavish lifestyle associated with trendsetters in Seoul’s Gangnam district, the most affluent part of the metropolitan area."
Ok.
Each year we see video of amazing or over the top work some people do decorating their homes with lights set to music but this one is really done exceedingly well. Except for the music. I don't care for a Christmas display that doesn't use some kind of Christmas music, but that's just me. It doesn't take away from the excellence this man created with his lights and sychronization to the music. Just outstanding. Take a look at how perfectly the lights move and change, sections of the house and yard take turns. He really knows what he's doing.
I love outside Christmas decorations, I don't care if they're corny or elegant and this is just so well syched except I still don't enjoy a Korean rap to the Gangnam Style music.
