American Airlines is inspecting at least 8 of its planes after seats have come loose during flight. Oddly the seats that came loose were some of those which had recently undergone maintenance during which time they were removed and put back in place.
It's either sad or frightening that we've come to the point in air travel that the smallest thing can now go wrong. Last week American announced it was cutting 164 employees at Lambert, 93 of whom were involved in plane maintenance. Doesn't do much for consumer confidence.
