"Researchers from the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center have developed malicious software that can remotely seize control of the camera on an infected smartphone and employ it to spy on the phone’s user.
Whoever is able to 'seize control' of your phone's camera will know your entire surroundings, what's in your house or office or files. If this was created in order to chase down criminals it probably won't be long before it will be used by the bad guys or even good guys to watch the average person's daily life. Scary and so 1984.
Just plan not to take your phone into the bathroom or anywhere else you don't want someone watching. And, speaking of that, did you know that according to a Google study 39 percent of us take our phones into the bathroom and that 19 percent accidently drop the phones into the toilet.
