With the presidential campaign season winding down, we're once again being hit with ads and stories about abortion. I try to stay away from this issue because it is so easy to become overheated with people on both sides getting angry. There is no middle ground. None.
What bothers me is the attempt by the media to over question candidates who do not favor abortion and portray their views as extreme. The assumption is that only the right can be extreme on this issue. Does anyone in the media ask a democrat if they support ANY limits on abortion? If not why not? Crickets.
No one in politics, right or left, has learned how to talk about abortion without making half the country angry. Unfortunately for those who find the actuality of abortion horrifying, they are the ones who are made out to be the reprehensible ones who are to be feared.
I'm fed up with this portrayal.
How about this:
"If there is a question as to whether there is life or death, the doubt should be resolved in favor of life."
