A story in yesterday's Chicago Tribune begins with this:
"Tech geeks and average consumers alike are quivering in anticipation of Apple’s expected unveiling Wednesday of the iPhone 5."
The writer also said sales of the 5 could boost the GDP (gross domestic product) for this quarter by 3.2 billion which translates to 12.8 billion at an annual rate.
All of this for a phone. Which is not 'just a phone' anymore. Hardly any phone is just a phone, they're all handheld computers. So we'll see what makes the new iPhone 5 the latest miracle of technology.
