Paczki's (Pronounced Poonch-key) are the Fat Tuesday and for some bakeries, Lenten version jelly donuts. They're a bit rounder, a bit fatter topped with granulated or powdered sugar. They were originally eaten as a last bit of sugar excess before the solemnity and fasting of Lent.
You'll see them everywhere today. Maybe someone will take a picture of the Paczki's at Kruta Bakery.
Then tomorrow comes the annual 6 weeks of Hot Cross buns.
