I'm a longtime subscriber to Sports Illustrated, I like sports and the writing and photos have always been excellent. But the Swimsuit issue is for men who like soft porn. It's not for me. Each year when given the opportunity by SI to say no to receiving it I forget to let them know. So it's coming again, most likely today.
Trivia for the year: The cover model on the SI Swimsuit Issue is the niece of Michigan Republican Congressman, Fred Upton. Not that this will make us less likely to put the magazine in the recycling basket.
I think that you can get a Swimsuit issue-free subscription. When our boys' school had a magazine fundraiser, I was ordering SI for Kids and noticed that on the regular SI.

When James was in grade school we got him SI for his birthday but when the swimsuit issue came we just threw it in the trash -- he never saw it.
