According to Forbes writing from a study by the Christian Science Monitor, the ten jobs which are most satisfying:
1. Clergy! Good to know here at Concordia Seminary
2. Firefighters, 3. Physical Therapists, 4. Authors 5. Special Education Teachers 6. Teachers 7. Artists 8. Psycologists 9. Financial Services Sales Agents 10. Operating Engineers-the guys who operate the big earth moving machines like back hoes, bulldozers etc.
What seems likely is these jobs are more apt to bring personal satisfaction as opposed to those with more financial status.
And, the Ten Jobs which make people the unhappiest are:
1. Director of Information Technology 2. Director of Sales and Marketing 3. Product Manager 4. Senior Web Developer 5. Technical Specialist 6. Electronics Technician 7. Law Clerk 8. Technical Support Analyst 9. CNC Machinist 10. Marketing Manager
Looks like most of the unhappy jobs are done by people who are rather by themselves, not helping others much. Conclusion: Get a job, no matter the social status or salary, which gives you a chance to help people or otherwise find some sort of "doing good" outcome.
